If I were to change one of my past projects to include a new technology I would choose to change the app mock-up project to include motion type graphics. I think the motion type is really interesting and that it could enhance the app I was making a mock-up for. Including this technology within the project would have made the app mock-up a lot more interactive and interesting to those viewing it. I would have made the buttons within the app include motion type when pressed to give the viewer of the app some feedback to show the buttons are being used.
I think the app would largely stay the same so it wasn’t overall too complex but it would take the design to the next level. I would make it so that the words on the buttons moved around when pressed to form shapes which fit with the theme of the app. The app was for a pub so maybe I would make the words form the shapes of glasses. There was also a theme of crowns and royalty so I would include that too. This would all just make it so that the app was interesting to the viewers.
This reflection will influence my work in the future because I will think about how new and emerging technologies could be used within all of my future projects because it would make the projects really interesting and exciting. I will try to find ways to use emerging technologies within all of my work in the future, even if it isn’t to completely drive the projects I will hope to use them in small ways to help with the development of projects.
