For the task of choosing two of John Maeda’s rules of simplicity I chose to focus on the rule of time and the rule of failure. For time I decided to research time management and how to make time management better and easier for my projects. I also looked at methods to work quicker and finish projects with time to spare in case anything happens where I am unable to complete the project in time for deadlines.
In researching the rule of failure, I focused on how failure can help us to develop work and to think outside the box. I know this firsthand as I had an idea for 5.1 which wasn’t successful so I decided to learn from this failure and the resulting project was a lot better. I looked at how failure can lead to success and how it’s important to embrace failures to develop as a creative person.
