This week I decided to experiment with AR and test how it can be applied into our lives. While this current testing has no implication, meaning or benefits to day to day life I felt it was important to test it out anyways.
For this test I created a 3D object and implemented it into the classroom. When stood alone and not interacting with moving objects the AR looks somewhat realistic and reacts well with the movement of the camera, staying in place.
For this experimentation with AR I focused on a poster rather than a 3D creation to see how it would be implemented onto the wall/space chosen. There was some trouble trying to get it to project and find a space that it worked on and looked at a correct perspective. However, when it did the final outcome appears somewhat believable for a programme still in its beta stages.
Overall this technology allows for interesting outcomes and live mock-ups/ visualisations that cannot be obtained on the likes of photoshop. This approach to viewing a design in a real space allows us to look at it in real time from multiple angles and distances.
