Jon's workshop
On Monday, I attended Jon's 3D design class, where we learnt how to animate objects to follow a specific path giving the effect of them flowing, this made the blood cells depict how they would in an artery. In learning this, we also learnt how to edit splines and sweeps. Sweeps are easily editable 3D objects that you can turn into all sorts of shapes and sizes. In this lesson, we used them to create the artery that goes around the white and red blood cells.
Seminar
This week's seminar covered how technology has transformed the way designers work and access design facilities. We explored how, since the Macintosh era, advancements have occurred at a much faster pace, with new technologies emerging every few years rather than every few decades.
We were given the 6x6 brief which we got to choose from 6 briefs and 6 outcomes. I was excited to start this as I wanted to do something unique with very limited parameters leading the brief and the outcome up to interpretation meant I could experiment with new forms of design.
