Reflection of Workflow

Reflection of Workflow

Honestly, workflow is something I've never really thought about or considered. I tend to use whatever my mac originally wanted to use, and as my mac is a little bit older I think most of the programs and apps I use are massively outdated. I started by looking at my browser. I use Chrome because, well, it looks nice. I really never considered if it was faster or better, I just was quite fond of how I was able to change the colours.

When it comes to my desktop, I have some folders that I try to organise every week. I try to keep my folders to three on my desktop as a maximum, although when working on new briefs/ modules I find my desktop becomes full of random screenshots that I can’t explain. For this I would likely look at using Hazel, this would help because it will keep files off my desktop so I don’t get distracted.

I write a lot in my spare time, therefore I would consider using iA Writer. I really appreciate how minimalistic the layout is of this application, I think it could make it a lot easier to write for longer periods of time, which is something I personally struggle with. However, £50 is a lot, and I’m not entirely sure that I can spare that just for another place to write, when Google Docs is free and is my go to place to write.

Time management is something I never really look for an answer for, but realistically complain about a lot. Rize (an Ai-powered time tracker) would likely be my first thought if I was going to look for an application that would help me be more productive and manage my time correctly, although it is something that I would have to test because I am not totally convinced that it would be very effective.
