previous projects and new technologies

My wayfinding project had significant room for improvement in the first year, regardless of new technologies. With the rapid advancement of technology in recent times, as highlighted in the seminars, I realize I could have enhanced my project in new creative ways aside from simple still images stuck to a wall.

Being introduced to these technologies got me curious about different art installations that use new technologies that make art/design installations interactive. Reflecting on the project, I thought about projections and how Ikea uses projected arrows to help customers navigate their maze of showrooms. My curiosity about projections led me to explore the art installation "In Order of Control." This piece features a typographic display that comments on ethics and morality, projected onto the floor. As you walk past, your shadow becomes a continuation of the text projected on the wall, creating an almost reflective experience through these words.

Looking at these pieces of modern technology used in different ways makes me think that I could have done something similar, using interactive projections too. help people navigate the building. These systems could serve as dynamic visual aids, guiding individuals through the complexities of the broadcasting building. Using projections, I could create engaging, real-time directional signs on walls or floors, making it easier for visitors to navigate the space. This addition would elevate the project functionality to create a more immersive and user-friendly experience for anyone exploring the building.

Having delved into the latest advancements in technology and their transformative effects on the graphic design industry, I am now thinking about how to integrate these tools and techniques into my upcoming projects. I aspire to use these innovations to craft distinctive design pieces that not only capture attention but also challenge conventional aesthetics and methods.
By doing so, I aim to explore fresh and imaginative approaches to packaging, advertising, and audience interaction. This could involve employing augmented reality to enhance user engagement, utilizing data-driven design to tailor design to specific people, or experimenting with sustainable materials that reflect a growing commitment to eco-friendly practices. Ultimately, my goal is to push the boundaries of design, allowing my work to stand out in a crowded marketplace.
