Workflow Enhacements

When starting a new project I like to start off by writing down my intial ideas and thoughts for the brief as a mindmap and draw some doodles and sketches of my first ideas. I like to use Pinterest and other websites to find images for inspiration. whilst Pinterest is easy to use and organise the images into different boards, screenshots and other images just end up getting lost in all my folders, then I struggle to find them again. It ends up being very disorganised, and then I try to find and sort them out, which takes a bit of time and frustration. In one of the seminars a program called 'Eagle' caught my attention it looked like a good and easy way to organise many images. It is a paid program, but they offer a free trial which I might have to try use. It lets you save images into one place, by simply dragging them from the browser, you can even save screenshots of the whole webpage.

As much as I like to hand draw my mindmaps, I used Figma Jam when creating my Visual Framework for this module, and I will have to give it more use. It's really fun to use and you can visually join ideas and images together. It's a good way to mindmap, it allows you to also explain how the images group together. It's like a big whiteboard, and you can add notes. I think this would help with keeping some of my work digital, and there's also little chance of losing stuff. Sometimes I lose bits of paper or my notebooks end up falling apart; I end up scribbling and doodling on the pages and it gets quite messy. So, I think this would be a good habit to start implementing.

After considering how I work, I've noticed I don't use many apps or softwares to help, I think exploring what there is will aid me in feeling more confident using different technologies.
