CleanMyMac
Whilst working on personal projects, I kept getting the really annoying "could not complete command, scratch disk full" error on Photoshop, so I decided to download something that could sort out my terrible low storage issue, completely my fault as i want to keep all my files :/ but anyway, I downloaded "CleanMyMac", which is free for 7 days.
CleanMyMac basically does what its called, cleans your Mac, and it's done it's job very well. There were so many files that my mac wasn't actually using but it was still taking up GBs of storage for no reason. As well as deleting old files, this program makes it extreamly easy to organise files for deletion. Included in the software is its own AntiVirus scan system, which I think is nice too. All in all, pretty good program, its £30/year so not too bad, but im sure there's free alternatives out there, even if the dashboard isn't as fancy...
Rectangle
Whilst writing my 5.3 Wikipedia article, I wanted to optimise my wokflow so that I could fully focus on the content without having to go back and forth between tabs, looking at my inspiration/what I wanted to include in my article.
To fix this I downloaded "Rectangle", a free, simple software that allows you to set hotkeys for where you want your tab to be placed on the screen. These hotkeys make it super easy for you to resize windows perfectly without having to do it manually, saving you time and stress of awkwarlly lining tabs up to you can see the info you need to see.
Rectangle is super easy to use and free so I'll definitely be keeping this one, as forr CleanMyMac, it did a good job, but i'm not sure if I can justify paying for it...
