Tool 3: Grid Type

Grid Type is a tool that allows the user to create their own font. There are a range of grids to chose from and you can select different boxes to make letters.

I experimented with two grid types but found I liked how the square grid looked the best. However the restriction of the grid allows me to work outside of my comfort zone and create things I usually wouldn't. It allowed me to think in ways I normally wouldn't which i wouldn't be able to do as easily using something like illustrator as it doesn't challenge me and I have unrestricted creative access.
