The piece I decided to look back at was the wayfinding brief from first year. I created some posters to project and display onto the university arts buildings. I think that it was very well executed, however it could have been improved with some small adjustments using AR elements. For example, I would add versions of the posters with QR codes where you can open your camera and it will show a new version of the posters, more like videos, that come out onto the street, projecting onto the roads, this will be good for general publicity from students and just people walking past, which is good for the university because it will create general interest.
I already planned on using projections for this project and I think this would work well still but also with the AR versions it would work well too. I created a video with all of the versions of my projections that I made, I would likely use this for the AR versions as well, so there was more variation being shown for the piece. This also means that the audience would be able to take pictures and everyone would have slightly different outcomes. AR would be an effective wayfinding tool for students because they are better with technology therefore it will interest them more than normal signs and posters, and they are more likely to use them.
I think this would be more effective for the brief because it can show more about what can be done within the course, and it is still an accurate and easy to read wayfinding tool. I also think this would be effective because it clearly displays the types of technologies that students will be able to use at university, further creating interest in the art based courses for the university.
