Advancements in technology have revolutionised design, broken traditional limitations and expanded creative possibilities. Tools like 3D modelling, AI, virtual and augmented reality, and 3D printing allow designers to turn bold ideas into reality with precision, speed, and flexibility. These innovations enable complex, sustainable, and personalised designs, making the creative process virtually limitless. For this project I decided to look back on my app that I designed in 4.3, using Figma. Until this project, I had never used or even heard of Figma, so the project itself was quite tricky. Now, however, with my knowledge of Figma and other software, I believe my app design could have been better.
My project for 4.3 was entitled ‘RXY’. It was based on the popular games bar in Leeds with games such as mini golf, bowling and axe throwing. My overall aim was to make this space more accessible for a wider audience, introducing ‘Quiet Nights’ and under 18s only times.
To improve my design, the first thing I would look at would be the branding itself. I was fairly pleased with the logo I designed, but the colour scheme felt unnatural and childlike. After experimenting with new technologies and websites, I would definitely use a colour picker to elevate my design and make it more cohesive, like Pikka which would streamline my design.
