How it was made-
A three-channel 16mm projection installation.
Techniques like traveling mattes and screen printing on film create unexpected outcomes each time, unevenly looping.
I want to start creating work like this because I find it really interesting, especially since most of it is made using film. I would experiment with film techniques like using old or lower-quality cameras to give the footage a more vintage aesthetic. I’d also explore how lighting, text, and moving images interact, focusing on how contrast can change the overall mood or meaning. Plus, I’d like to project my moving images onto different surfaces, such as walls or objects, to create a layered and textured look rather than something flat. I would probably need to learn more about moving image and looping so I can understand how to create a story through my pieces more clearly.
