She made it by weaving photographs, especially vintage family photos from the 1960s and ‘70s.
I'm not particularly interested in making this myself or creating my own piece by weaving. However, It did catch my attention as it is interesting to think about how long this would take you or how you would know where to weave with what colour etc. In a way It's satisfying to look at this image and it looking somewhat realistic and knowing there is the original somewhere printed off or digital. To do this, you would need to know how to knit, sew and weave so you can make woven work.
