After Effects/Motion Workshops

I didn't attend all of the motion workshops, but for the ones I did attend I found them quite interesting and they were fun to do. However, I did feel that I stuggled a bit as at times, I found the tutorials a little difficult to follow, although if I did miss a step, I soon caught up. I've never really had an interest in animation or motion design, as I've always found it difficult and never really got any enjoyment out of it, but I do think this module changed my perspective slightly as I started to get more enjoyment out of it when attending the workshops. The only downside for me was that in some of the workshops, I didn't feel like I'd learnt skills that I could apply to other projects, I'd only know how to utilise them to create a similar project to the workshop. However, I would be interested in learning more about motion design and animation, even if its something I wouldn't pursue career-wise.

Tues 4th Nov Workshop

I don't have a screenshot or recording of my work for this workshop, as I used the iMac in the session, I wanted to have a larger workspace, and at the end I couldn't get my work to save to my Onedrive. However, I think out of all the motion workshops I attended, this one was probably my favourite. We used wacom graphics tablets to create animations in photoshop. I created animations of growing flowers, which was really fun to draw. This workshop prompted me to buy my own tablet, which I then used with other technologies in this module.

Tues 18th Nov - Tues 2nd Dec Workshop

This workshop continued over 3 weeks as it was an extensive tutorial covering screen graphics. These workshops were really interesting and were unlike anything I'd ever done before. I really paid close attention throughout them all and managed to follow everything and create my end outcome. The only problem I had with this workshop is that I'm not sure how I would apply the skills we learnt to create something different, but overall I found it really interesting and useful.

You can see here the workspace I had, I found it quite complicated, but by the end of the 3 weeks I felt like I had gotten used to it.
