5.2.1

5.1.1 Create a campaign that raises awareness for neurodiversity in the public eye.

Our groups idea for a or a way to raise awareness for the neurodiversity in the public was after some ideas about; creating a public space that directly goes to "fix" the problems of the group, art installations that have descriptions of different forms of their day to day struggles, we ultimately decided to go with a light night style group of art installations in Leeds and other cities around the countries with each installation being links with light up path ways and maps.

though these installations wont be at night like these they'd be places to go throughout the day these points would change each week for a maximum of one month a year, each point would have a exhibition showing different parts of the neurodiversity experience one may be a load indoor event that represents overstimulation with information on how it affects these people with other installations being their own unique themes.

5.2.2 motion graphics photoshop 2d animation practice

During this works shop we went through frame by frame animation in photoshop with John which was very helpful for me personally as aside from photo editing I've not used photoshop for much and have been intending on using it for art and animation for some time, this task has helped push me back into my animation work at home as well since motion graphic is ultimately what I want to go into in the future.

This even lead me to doing some more practice in animation after in the clip below while being a rough version I intend to finish the colouring at a future date.

"flames of a feather" A man smoking a cigarette and watching the sunrise on the beach

It will go on to have more animation on the sunrise and its affects on the surrounding.

5.2.2

Our work with figma and Jitter.video was very inciteful to how I can work with figma for site and app animation in the future as I've made websites in the past for college projects and as my portfolio this has now given me ideas as to how I can update those with new works.

5.2.3 - Reflection

In recent memory I've been able to define my strengths and weaknesses and where I'm able to engage the most in my work in university and were I have struggles keeping up. The main issue and strength I come by is in that how I'm able to engage with work affects everything else related to my work from how fast I'm able to have my work done, how many notes and ideas and retries I'll do and have written down, how in-depth and wide reaching my research will be and ultimately how good my final outcome is and if I will need extra time to make sure it's done. There are of course outside factors that can change any number of these variables but these are my core points.

At the core of who I am as a graphic designer and creative is animation and illustration with my with my main weak points being in abstract and or vague forms of work (take abstract art or certain grid formats that go with typography as an example) When in typography I may show strength in my choosing of fonts to match styles of work I will however fall short in describing what a font face "feels like" or it's "personality" as this is a nebulous subject for me since I tend to think literally this extends in to my process of working as in ways I'm yet to understand when my brain has no interest in topics or works it is a very up hill battle to stay focused on tasks and or keep my own enthusiasm in the work going these lead to the previous issues stated before. In my years of dealing with this in education and day to day life I've found (with the help of the internet) that my only real ways to keep on top of my issues is meticulous note taking of ideas when doing any form of brain storming related to these issues as even if I lose focus or motivation to go on if I put down 10 ideas that come to my head no matter how unrelated they may be it can at least have the possibility of one of those ideas leading into my main strength, my main strength being when I find a piece of work I enjoy it has somewhat of a cascading effect where one idea leads to ten more and so on and so forth and my list of weaknesses more or less flip, though my enthusiasm also comes with it's fair share of issues as I've been told numerous times my multiple tutors since when I find an idea I like early on I can tend to stick with it and not want to let go this can lead to me even when coming up with new ideas trying to make these ideas work around my main idea and abandoning possibly better works in the process, a way I found to combat this is to keeps switching between software like; photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, procreate, adobe animator, etc, as a way to troubleshoot possible limitations I may run into or try other ideas I let for to the side before.

5.2.4 - Automation

working with these generator sites has been honestly quite fun and I can see myself using these sites in parts of my motion graphics work even if I'm only using them here in a more joking manor.

5.2.5 Introduction to 3D animation

During our workshop with John we went into Cinema4D for practice downloading 3d models and editing them with materials and lighting then ultimately rendering them, I went somewhat "of script" with my version of the work as I was really enjoying myself, the process used is shown below through photos.

I did really enjoy working with 3d models as it is one of my main interests I graphic design and I have every intention to continue with practice in my own time when I am able to spare the time in studio as my pc at home simply isn't strong enough to handle it.

5.2.6 - Animating in after effects

Working with John we practiced in turning images we drew in adobe after illustrator into animations through warp meshing in after effects while this form of animation isn't my style far character animation I can see how I can use it for background work in future animation work.
