5.2 Process Document

REFLECTION:

This module has been a very different experience from all the other modules, and at first, I wasn't too sure if it would be for me. Although I did prefer the usual module layouts, this has been a good experience in looking at areas I never would have looked at before. This module has helped me realise that the more technological side of graphic design isn't necessarily for me, and that I prefer a more hands-on approach to design.

WEEK 1:

WEEK 1 TASK
The BA Graphic Design course, at the Leeds School of Arts.

I found that the week one task was a nice way to introduce us all to the module and what we would be doing for the next few weeks.

WEEK 2:

5.2 WEEK 2
WHO MADE IT? Kelly Pringle - https://www.instagram.com/kellypringleart/ Kelly Pringle ArtTraditional illustrations, prints, home decor and more from illustrator Kelly Pringle.Kelly Pringle Art HOW DID THEY MAKE IT? Transparent sticker sheet of Kelly’s hand-drawn and coloured illustrations. Made with coloured pencils. WHAT ARE THE ENTRY POINTS?
WEEK 2 FOLLOW UP TASK
For this project, I used a mix of digital assets and Risograph printing however, a few ways I could have incorporated technology could have been through animation and data-driven design. By using data-driven design, I could have experimented more with different patterns and layouts, especially with the risograph-focused design. This

These are the 2 week two tasks. They were both good ways to get me thinking about different ways of designing and everything that goes into the process.

WEEK 3:

5.2 Week 3
PART 1: REFLECT WHAT PARTS OF YOUR PRACTICE MAKE YOU FEEL MOST ENGAGED AND CREATIVE? Design, Creative, Production - The physical elements and making are where I find momentum. WHEN DO YOU ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE YOU’RE DESIGNING? Creative, Design Stage - I always feel that I get stuck in the

This week's task was a great way to get me thinking about what parts of the design process I liked and disliked, as well as what areas I need to focus on more for the next few modules.

WEEK 4:

5.2.4 AUTOMATION
Some screenshots from testing and trying out websites. I spent a couple of hours exploring the linked websites. It was nice to play around with the generators that I wouldn’t normally use.

Week four's task was useful as I got to see a lot of different websites and techniques.

WEEK 5:

4x6
Brief: Depth of Motion - Return to your moving image project from last year. Keep the subject and concept, but increase the complexity of your approach. Use the motion graphics, animation, or projection techniques from this module to add depth, sophistication, or technical ambition to the work. Outcome: Animation: A

This project was a great way to reimagine one of my old projects and get the chance to rethink it with the techniques I had recently learned.

MOTION SESSIONS:

MOTION WORKSHOPS
These are some of the projects I did in the motion sessions. 0:00 /0:14 1× 0:00 /0:08 1× I found these sessions very useful as they gave a quick insight into many different types of motion graphics. The projects helped me gain an idea of what
