For this 6x6 project brief. I chose the 4th task:
- To transform a space or object
Here, after seeing many different articles, and evaluations on how much technology has developed over the years, I decided to focus on the topic of technology in the future. I wanted to take people into an alternative, futuristic reality where robots have taken over. I find this topic quite interesting, which led me to chose this to base my brief around.
As my task was to transform a space or object, I chose the 4th outcome choice:
- Immersive 3D Environments
I chose to use an AR software, Aero, to transform the university 3rd floor design studio into a futuristic version. I chose the to base my AR project in the studio as it is a significant place for me that I spend a lot of my time in. It also highlights a perspective about robots and technology taking over human jobs such as design, increasing unemployment.
The reason I chose using AR as my outcome choice is because I found it very fun and interesting in my 5.2 workshops. I wanted to learn more about it and experiment further with what I can do.
