5.2.3 Identifying Workflow Enhancements

Workflows that I use the most:

The Workflow that I mainly use to gather my notes when researching is word/ PowerPoint/ InDesign/ illustrator

I don’t have a specific software that I use because I find it would be too limiting in my creative practice

  1. Key steps

Use google when searching about the subject, then understand key facts and notes and start making to do lists in my physical notebooks. However sometimes this can be inefficient and time consuming when researching because it takes me longer to find specific examples for the idea. Therefore to improve this I could also use AI to also look at the topic I'm looking at and then gather information and different articles that are more specific to what I'm looking at and then. use AI to break the articles down into key notes. I feel this would be more time efficient than the current way I approaching it.

During the designing part of the process, I will initially start to sketch out ideas physically and then transfer them to InDesign/ I will also collect visual research as well. Therefore I think it would be helpful to have a system where I can put all the research I gather as well as the designs and to see the journey more clearly. As well as when using research to refer back and inform my designs.

The main thing for my process to work on is efficiency, time management

Notion could be a good software to organise my notes

  1. Using different browsers , Chatgpt break as well as look for articles and websites related to what I am trying to research.
