5.2.5 Production
Brief:
- Depth of Motion - Return to your moving image project from last year. Keep the subject and concept, but increase the complexity of your approach. Use the motion graphics, animation, or projection techniques from this module to add depth, sophistication, or technical ambition to the work.
Outcome:
- Animation - A pre-rendered, time-based piece that uses motion to communicate. This could be vector animation, cell animation, generative animation, projection- mapped content, or motion graphics. The sequence demonstrates considered use of timing, transition, and visual rhythm.
My thought process for 5.2.5 somewhat continues on the idea from the follow on task of 5.2.2 Innovations. As I am returning to my moving image task from 4.4 and seeing how I can use the newer technologies I have come across to improve/change it. I am looking to take frames from my moving image, and overlaying some different imagery compared to the physical frame sequence I drew and collaged on paper last year.
The imagery I am looking to use will be some screen grabs from the OPENRNDR webpage as well as the results from the websites and programs I have previously visited on 5.2.4 Automation.
Shown are some of the results of how it may look. As this is a hypothetical idea and a quick output, if I were to do it properly I would ensure better quality and take more time with image selection so it matched up more.
