For my project in 4.2, I had to design a book cover in a futurism style. The elements that I got assigned was "air" and "fold". This all influenced the technological, dynamic aesthetic of my cover.
After identifying and learning about different technologies in the seminar, it opened my eyes to the endless possibilities that could have been done/ used in my previous projects, such as 4.2. As my book focused on futurism in todays society and technology, I could have made this into an online E-book. I could have incorporated technology and AI tools to make my book cover actually move and transition, just like the motion type project we was shown in the seminar. Doing this could have really elevated my work and could have helped highlight my concept of technology. https://motiontypeproject.org
If my book came to life and their was actually text inside, I think it would be really interesting to incorporate hyperspace AR on each of the pages. This is where you scan a code and see the text visually come to life with sculptures and animations. After the seminar, I realised all of the different technologies that are out there and that you can use in your work. I will definitely look at trying to incorporate these in future projects, if it will elevate my work. I will not limit myself to traditional methods and resources that I already know in the design practice.
