data meshing touch designer and after effects

For this experiment in touch designer I learned how to create a data mesh with outlines which can be applied to any video or live camera feed. However the effect works substantially better when there is constant motion within the clips with changes in camera and subject displayed.

For this experiment I used a music video that for a song that I like (mainly because it was stuck in my head) and experimented with different 3d camera settings and compositions within touch designer and after effects.

To help the data merging I went into after effects and made subtle changes to the video such as bringing the camera further away and making more harsh quick cuts, I used after effects for this rather than premier pro as it is a software I am more comfortable in as I have used it for several years to create video game montages.

The outline effect is on a different plane than the data meshing however is linked through the music chops which change the value of the image.

During the end of the video it is also seen that the music changes the colour of the background from white to black and back constantly, this is achieved from these music chops.

I am constantly experimenting with touch designer as the space that i want to get into within the design industry is live visuals and things that have to do with performance and music, this is mainly from my love of live events and visuals.
