Initial Ideas
I started by reviewing the brief outcomes and highlighting several key points that caught my attention. I believed I could effectively address these using the tools available to me. In particular, I was intrigued by the augmented reality (AR) projects we had previously worked on. The concept of transforming a space stood out to me as a perfect fit for AR. While a few outcomes piqued my interest, I felt that an immersive 3D environment would be the best fit.
Once I connected the brief with this outcome, the idea of using my newly bought virtual reality (VR) headset came to mind. This headset has new AR capabilities, allowing for a blend of the real and virtual worlds. Although I had primarily used the VR headset for gaming, I was eager to experiment with it in the realm of graphic design.
I sat down and began brainstorming how I could transform the studio space using my VR headset. Initially, I considered turning the space into a jungle or a meadow. After receiving feedback on this idea, I decided to use it as a personal outlet to express what goes on inside my mind.
Experimentation
I began by deciding which software to use for my VR experience. There were several options available for 3D design, but most of them did not support passthrough (AR) functionality. I ultimately chose a program called Open Brush, an open-source software that allows me to create three-dimensional artistic creations using different brushes.
Since I had never used Open Brush before, it took me some time to familiarize myself with its controls and features for 3D painting. I discovered various functionalities, such as the ability to throw objects, which would then travel in the direction I threw them and get deleted. I found this feature enjoyable and used it as a way to learn the software while having fun.
After becoming comfortable with the program, I started creating a scene where users would walk through a skull with vibrant colours bursting from the top of its head. Once inside, they would find a room filled with objects that resonate with me, such as speakers, plants, and my gecko.

Final product
After spending some time modelling items intended for my environment, I felt compelled towards a more abstract approach. I delved into experimenting with words and phrases that resonated with my creative process. This experimentation allowed me to construct a visual map of my thoughts and emotions, effectively transforming my ideas into a space that others can navigate. viewers can walk through this immersive landscape, engaging with the words and concepts. This interaction not only invites reflection but also encourages dialogue about the ideas represented, blending the space between the virtual world and personal expression.
