Design for Connection
For this topic in the 6 x 6 briefs, I wanted to focus on something I enjoy myself and know of others who enjoy it too, stargazing. I have an idea to create am AR that can show directions for spots for stargazing and when the next night will be perfect for this in an area not too far away. I've personally used many stargazing apps of which all of them are either hard to use, aren't very clear, or overly complicated.
I made a little sketch of how it might look.
This will bring people nearby together as well taking them down the same path and saying how many people will attend to this area. I think that stars are something that are out everyday and since they're out at night it makes everything less scary. This will also provoke more people to go out and explore and find like minded people
Data Visualisation
To add to the last idea before, part of the idea could be to add an interactive dashboard that appears through the phone camera. This will show information about the activity in the sky that night and they can skip forward or go back on days to compare and see what they look like. This will give an insider look as to what is to come and make users excited.
