3d impact frames using blender
Blender is a free piece of software used for animation and 3d rendering.
The design was inspired by impact frames which is used in several different animations.
To create the design i found a monster head 3d model. using the node system in blender I created a cell shaded look which is commonly used "popularised by the borderlands game franchise" to create a flat 2d look from the 3d model. I then created this same look for the background which was just a flat square behind the model. I added a 3d camera as well as movement to the background with random colour changing and flashing.
The final outcome uses very little motion apart from the background with no camera movement but is very impactful. I would love to continue with blender finding new techniques to achieve animations which have been inspired by things i like.
