Neurodiversity

This module's first task prompted us to examine the idea of neurodiversity and how public areas may be made more welcoming and sensitive to the distinct experiences of people with neurological differences. First, our group looked at various challenges that neurodivergent people encounter on a regular basis.

We came to understand that a lot of society isn't completely aware of the way neurodivergent people live. We decided to base this project in Leeds, more specifically outside the railway station. This is due to the diverse people leaving and entering the station.

The project will feature a large glass dome fitted with speaker technology and augmented reality displayed through eye glasses. The volunteers will see and hear different sounds and patterns and a lot of other material similar to this.

This is to hopefully raise awareness, and show the public how neurodivergent people may struggle with certain things and we as a society can conform to this.
