Using a Wacom drawing tablet and Adobe Photoshop, I recently made a short firework animation. To give the appearance of motion, individual frames of fireworks exploding were drawn and then sequenced. It was a fulfilling experience, and mastering Photoshop animation was a useful ability, particularly for understanding frame-by-frame animation. But I think there are better animation tools out there, like After Effects, which provide more specialised functionality and more efficient approaches for making complex animations. However, becoming skilled in Photoshop animation continues to provide a strong foundation for my creative skills.
